Aside from doing the household chores, I am personally tutoring my kids. When my boy reaches 3 I started introducing him with some basic things he needs to learn in preparation for his schooling. I want him to feel at home in school and have fun learning. We do some oral studies on counting numbers and singing the ABC. On other topics I need to introduce to him, I rely on working/activity books I see on the malls. Easy To Learn Books introduces different activity books in Math and English for different ages. I bought the Excel Math Early Skills Book 1 of 10, "Patterns, Sorting and Matching" for ages 3-4. It contains topics like drawing stripes and circles, copying, coloring and finishing patterns, matching pictures, sorting, seeing the difference, matching, drawing the missing parts and drawing the same number.
It shows at the beginning how to use the book, the step-by-step learning and at the end is the cool rating system of parents towards their kids. My boy learned a lot from this book and it helped him a lot to finish his Nursery with great grades.
