When my sister in law recently passed away, she left me several of her collectable dolls from Lee Middleton. I always knew about these dolls because my husband and I have bought her one or two for her collection but I had never actually owned them.
When I started to display them around my house, I was amazed at several things. The first is that these dolls look real. So real, that whenever I walk into my living room, I have to take a double look because I think there is someone else in the room and then I realize it is only the dolls. The second is that these dolls are very heavy. I guess it is because they are made of soft or hard vinyl. And the third reason is because the bigger ones can often use regular infant cloths. The dolls are between 19' to 22' and you can get either baby or toddler dolls. Tbhey are very expensive (anywhere from $87-$250), but they are worth it.
When going through website after website, I was amazed of people that actually collect these dolls. They are, in my opinion, very unique and the ones that I do have, have become part of my family. I for one think that I will hang on to these dolls and one day, when my neice gets older, pass them on to her. They are after all, collectables.
