My son has been wanting this Star Wars Lego ship for quite a long time. I was able to get it on sale. The going rate for this ship is $99, I was able to get it for $79.

This Lego set is huge. It has 1, 366 pieces and when fully put together it measures over 23 inches long. It comes with some very cool mini figures: Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin, Imperial Officer, Two Stormtroopers, R2-D5, Two Emperor's Royal Guards and a mouse droid (which is pretty uniquie).

When the Star Destoryer is put together you can open it up to reveal details of the ship. It has lots of working gadgets; turbo laser cannons, hologram of the Emperor, crane for removing Darth Vader's helmet and a meditation chamber for Vader.

It also has an escape release pod.

Now I will say the instructions are easy to follow and the bonus is the bags are numbered. I thought that was wonderful as my son wasn't searching forever for one small piece. It made it easy to put together. It did take my 8 year old son a while, I think over 3 or 4 days, but it is a big ship.

The model when finished is pretty realistic to the real thing.

The one and only drawback to this Lego set is it is VERY fragile! You really can not play with it, without it falling apart or pieces falling off. For my son that is OK because he always displays his larger Star Wars Lego sets, but if you are looking for a set to play with I would think twice about this one.

If you just want to add it to your collection, then it is a pretty cool ship.
