During weekends or long breaks from school, my small family gather in the living room to have a game of Mouse Trap. I did not know this game until I saw it in Toys 'R Us while looking for board games. I did not have anything in mind then because there were so many board games out there. I decided to settle for this Mouse Trap game board because the colorful drawings on the box caught my attention. Upon further checking, I found out that this game is interesting to play because it has many contraptions to make.

First, you set up the wacky contraptions like 3 metal balls, cheese pieces, a toilet bowl, zigzag slide, box with lid, rubberized sling and a basket. Each player gets to have their turn by rolling the die and moving their piece across the squares on the board game. There are areas where your piece may end on a slot to activate the contraption and you just have to wait and see whether you get to be safe or not. If in case you happen to fall under any of the unsafe areas and the "catch" gets activated by another player, then you are out of the game.

This is really a fun game to play. I experience few setbacks though like the pole which releases the metal ball to activate some levers can get snagged on the toothed ladder; thus, hindering the fall of the contraption. Also, when you lose a certain contraption piece then it is hard to replace it. The only replaceable parts are the metal balls which you can exchange with a marble and the die.
