Levi Straus Signature men’s pants are a good example of why Levi’s are still a quality choice in casual menswear.
I purchased a pair of these pants in size 30 x 30, which was the smallest size the store carries. Small is always the issue for us, so we would have been happier to find 29 waist, but that was not to be. I don’t know what size range is actually made in this style, I only know what I was able to find that one day. They come in khaki, black and navy blue. I bought the navy although it is a very dark navy, somewhat hard to tell from the black. This might be a dye lot issue rather than a standard of the product.
They are standard straight cut, flat front, zip fly with a button. The hip pockets are set in and both have buttons. The front slash pockets are deep. The material the pockets are made from is average, not thinner than what you might expect, but not heavier, either. There are six belt loops, so if you really like one in the center back, these pants do not have that. Lined waistband (foldover kind, not jeans kind). The pants material is 100% cotton twill. They are made in the Dominican Republic.
The pants have been fine in every way. They look great. They can be worn as casual pants, or they dress up nicely with a sport coat for business wear.
I have only two complaints with these pants. First, I really wanted navy blue, and this shade is really, really close to black (but fit won out over perfect color selection). Second, I have been amazed at how much dog hair they pick up for 100% cotton pants. To live in our house is to deal with dog hair. So much hair was clinging to the pant legs that I actually checked the tag to be sure that I had purchased cotton pants; I thought I must have had my brain turned off and bought polyester. But it did come off easily with a brush.
All in all, a great value on all-purpose pants for $20.
