When my ever faithful old pay as you go cell phone stopped working altogether, i decided to look for a modern contract phone with more advanced facilities and a good overall performance . I came across the LG Cookie KP500 which was been offered at phones4u for free if you took out an 18 months contract. Considering the phone was worth over £200 at the time, i thought i would look into it and give it a try. The contract was for 100 text messages and 100 calls at £15.00 a month.
I was very impressed with the cookie, although it took me a while to get used to the touch screen. I was ringing people by accident and sending text messages by mistake to the wrong friends etc, but after a few days i felt like i would never be able to go back to a touch button phone.
The organiser facility on the Cookie is great, i can set my alarm clock by week or day, and organise my diary and phonebook with ease. I also admire how slim and lightweight the phone is, its around 89 grams in weight, 11.9 mm deep, 55.4 mm wide, and 106 mm high. I had a choice of 4 colours Black, gold, silver or brown and i chose the black.
When i write a text message i can perform this horizontally or diagonally, as the phone as a facility to scroll or turn around. I use the stylus pen to make texting easier, and the slim pen slots into the side of the phone very neatly.
I also downloaded lots of music files to the MP3 files on my new cookie, and also recorded a few funny videos of the family which came out very clear and with great sound. My phone came with headphones and a charger, and i purchased a black case for it on Amazon. The camera is a digital 3.2 Megapixel, and the video a 3GP MPEG4 format.
My memory card holds upto 8 gbytes. Lastly i have downloaded some great wallpapers and screensavers from the internet onto my phone. My overall comments would be that htis phone is fantastic i love it, and now feel i could never go back to the old fashioned push button. I highly recommend the Cookie its absolutely fab.
