This is my very first insurance policy--the PhilamLife S.H.E. It is a life insurance plan with hospitalization benefits. Though I consider myself quite healthy, there came a point in my life that I wanted to get insurance. I was not very bold so I thought I could only spare $120 a month. That is why the face amount of this policy is quite small. If I could have it any other way, I would have increased my premium.
Anyway, I like this policy because it is life insurance policy with disability claims, accident benefits, and hospitalization all rolled into one. I got hospitalized twice last year and I was able to get some claims from this policy. I am really thankful, at least I had some refund left, although it is not much.
But since this policy has hospitalization, it takes longer to pay. I have to pay the amount for 20 years, but I think it is still good.
The claims are quick and paid by check. So there is not much problem as long as all the necessary hospitalization records are in order. I forgot how many payments I made here already, probably five. I am only a quarter of the long stretch, but I will get to finish paying this. God help me.
