Winter is coming! So is hunting season. I am always worried about our pups when we are out for a walk. Even though I always keep them leashed, I am concerned that IF one got away from me, that a hunter might mistakenly take aim at them. There are many coats on the market specifically marketed for this purpose, but they can be expensive. I ran across these red and orange dog coats at Old Navy for $16.50 regular price, but they were half off!
Not only are these coats brightly colored, they are quilted and fleece lined to help the furry one stay a little warmer when outside for extended times. The hood is removable. The snaps underneath are very simple to use. There is a small opening below the "collar" of the coat for the leash to go through. All three of my dogs cooperated for the fashion show, although I only pictured one. He is about 55 lbs, wearing the large size coat, and there is PLENTY of room. I probably could have gone with a Medium for him.
I did notice that Old Navy had these red and orange ones, and a blue/green one as well. The sizes offered are XXS - XL.
XXS is for logs 9-10 inches long and under 5 lbs
XS = 11-13" long and 5-10 lbs
S = 14-16" long and 10-25 lbs
M = 17-19" long and 25-50 lbs
L = 20-22" long and 50-75 lbs
XL = 23+ " long and 75+ lbs
I was not able to find these online, but there were many still on the shelves in the store.
