I've always wanted to try some whitening products but was fearful of what they might do to my teeth, gums, afraid of the chemicals, etc. Not only that, but why the heck are the things so darned expensive!?
Anyway, got a free batch of whitestrips so decided my body could take the risk and we'd give them a try.
The Listerine white strips dissolve on your teeth so there is no removal. You just place them on and go about your day. Here is my step by step review:
Application: Easy - just stick and go. However they do not cover all of your teeth, just the front. And if you don't put them up high enough, your eye teeth are only half covered. This means that the gums above your front teeth come into contact with the strip. This I did not like.
Taste: Yuck! The taste and texture of these is just awful. The first time I tried them my mouth immediately started to over water - kind of like when you are about to be sick. It was hard to keep them in - I could not wait until it was OVER! Side note, I did get somewhat used to the flavor after several applications.
Effectiveness: I did see some whitening although my teeth are not in that bad of shape. Was it worth the price? See below...
Price: I think all whitening is over priced. For the results - no, it is not worth the expense.
