My 1-year-old received the Fisher Price Little People Sail 'n Float Boat for his first birthday. I was really excited to use this toy since we were in need of some new bath toys.

The Sail 'n Float boat is able to be used on dry land or in water. The boat is blue with a cute yellow face. Their is a movable red fishing pole. The boat also comes with Captain Michael, a life ring, and a fish. The fish can hook onto the fishing pole or you can fill the fish with water and pour it out. The Sail 'n Float boat plays music when you press on the Captain's Seat. The boat requires 3 AAA batteries which are included. The manufacture's recommend age is 1-4 years. The boat retails for approximately $12.00.

The pros of the Sail 'n Float boat are that my son really enjoys playing with it in the water. He likes to hear the music and push the boat around in the water. It is cute and colorful.

The Sail 'n Float boat has cons too. The boat, while made for use in water, has a really hard time floating. It easily turns over if you put Captain Michael in the boat. The boat actually will fill with water and sink. Once the boat starts filling with water, it becomes very hard to hear the music. You must drain the boat and let it dry a bit before the music gets back to normal volume. I'm a bit nervous about the whole batteries and bathtub mixture. It doesn't seem that the battery compartment is completely waterproof. We haven't had any issues yet, but this is something I'm going to keep my eye on.

Overall, I do recommend the Fisher Price Little People Sail 'n Float boat. It is a cute toy and children will have fun playing with it - in or out of the water.
