My 17-month-old received the Little Tikes Easy Store Large Slide as an early Christmas present from his grandparents. He is obsessed with slides right now and while we live near a playground, it's getting colder and he was literally standing at the door saying "slide, slide" over and over when it was just too yucky to go out. His grandparents gave him this last weekend and he's been thrilled ever since.
A few things to consider:
It's a big slide. It takes up most of our living room, so it's not something we'll keep out all the time. We plan to move it outside once it's nicer.
It's really hard to put together. It took my father-in-law about 2 hours and he's usually really quick with these things.
It isn't very portable. Yes, you can fold it and move it around, but it's still very big and bulky. This is the trade-off for getting a bigger slide - it's more fun, but it's more work to drag it around. Luckily we don't have to move it very often.
There isn't a lot of room at the top for kids to get thmselves into a seated position. A few supervised practice slides was all it took for us, but it's something to remember. The slide also "bumps out" at the end, meaning it doesn't go down to the ground, so landings can be a little inprecise and jumpy, but again this is something easily addressed with a few practice slides.
Overall, this ia great slide made from heavy, durable plastic. I can definitely foresee this being a popular toy in our house for years to come.
