Steering wheels always make racing games more enjoyable, but you have to ask yourself if you would enjoy a steering wheel. For most people who like the occasional arcade racer (i.e. Need for Speed) a steering wheel is not for you. However, if you enjoy driving simulators (i.e. Gran Turismo) you will definitely find that a steering wheel adds more to the game.
The Driving Force Pro is a very well made product. My only complaint is that there are too many cables. One plugs into the wall that plugs into the steering wheel itself, another comes from the pedals which goes to the steering wheel, and finally one that goes to the console or PC. Since I cannot leave this out, I have to put it away after each use, and it can be a pain putting everything away.
The wheel itself is very comfortable and supports up to 900 degrees of rotation. There is also force feedback, so if you spin out or take a turn too fast, you will feel it in the wheel. A sequential shifter adds a bit of realism, but no clutch leaves me wanting more. The brake and gas pedals are replicated well; they feel like their real life counterparts. Overall, the wheel is a lot of fun to use. It does take some practice, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be having a blast. If you're a die hard racing fan, I definitely suggest this product.
