The Logitech G5 mouse is a very visually appeal mouse that has many features that will be favorable to anyone who needs more out of a mouse than a standard 2 button ball mouse. The G5 Mouse uses a "gaming grade laser" - it’s very precise and it is a lot easier and smoother to use compared to a ball mouse. The mouse is designed so it fits easily in the hand and is slightly textured where the thumb and pinky meet on the mouse so it is easy to grip.
The mouse has a standard mouse wheel that can scroll up and down as well as left and right. Below the mouse wheel are two buttons that adjust the mouse sensitivity. They have a default setting that can be altered using the mouse's included Setpoint software to different levels of sensitivity. Personally I use the default middle setting almost always for typical computer use while I use the low sensitivity for more precise work (usually in Photoshop).
The cable for the mouse was what surprised me when I first got the mouse. It seems to be not a typical plastic wire but it is covered in a rope, so it doesn’t look like a generic plastic cord but rather a thin nylon rope - Just a little added touch to make this mouse great.
