If you own a laptop or netbook you may not be comfortable with the sometimes cumbersome touchpad on these devices. For new laptop users accustomed to using a mouse these touchpads can be a frustrating experience. You can always buy a mouse with a USB cord but an even better option is a wireless mouse such as the Logitech Wireless Mouse M305.

The Logitech Wireless Mouse M305 is smaller than a regular mouse and comes with a wireless USB device. It is perfect for a Netbook or laptop as an input device besides the touchpad. The mouse installs easily and you’ll be up and running quickly. The attachment that goes into your USB slot is far too small. It would be easy to lose the device so be sure to keep it in your USB slot or put it in a safe location such as a pocket in your laptop bag. Locate the battery comportment on the front of the mouse. Flick the switch on the back of the mouse to pop the comportment off. The mouse shipped with one AA Duracell battery. When you’re not using the mouse be sure to switch it off with the on/off button on the bottom of the unit.

This mouse work well but the small size might not work for those computer users with large hands. The mouse is very responsive and you can always change setting from within your operating system if you like the controls a bit different. This mouse has basic plastic feet on the bottom of the unit and it works best with some type of mouse pad although most flat surfaces are fine too. This wireless mouse was inexpensive in Canada at $19.99CAD from Staples. The device comes in various colors too to match your laptop color. After using the mouse for over one month no problems occurred with the device and the battery is still good after one to two hours use per day.

If you are tired of the touchpad on your laptop it is well worth it to buy a wireless mouse since you don’t have the hassle with the USB cable. The only complaint with this device is the very small USB connector. The mouse should have a connector that is a bit larger since it is very easy to misplace or even lose this tiny connector. You shouldn’t have any problems with this product and it’s recommend for laptop and netbook users who hate the default touchpad on those devices. Be sure to take an extra battery with you if you travel and use your mouse heavily just in case you need to change it. If you remove the USB connector be sure to place it in your laptop bag so you don’t lose it.
