The Logitech Z-5450 Digital 5.1 Speaker system is a THX certified surround sound system with wireless rear speakers, a powered subwoofer, and a receiver that decodes Dolby Digtal, DTS and Dolby Pro Logic II. When I first saw this system I was intrigued since it was everything I was looking for. I needed something small to fit into a tiny A/V rack and because of the room setup I had to have wireless rear speakers. My TV had a host of inputs but the audio was really lacking so I didn't need an A/V receiver.
Then I happened upon this Logitech system. When looking at the price and the intended use I thought it probably wouldn't be up to snuff, but I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did because I have been nothing but impressed by the quality and sound of this system. First off the receiver has a variety of inputs, two optical and a coaxial digital inputs and it has three analog inputs which can also be set up as a 5.1 descrete input. The speakers look nice and the stands rotate to act as wall mounts if you would like to hang them. It even has a wireless remote control.
I first used it with an Xbox360 and it worked very well, but in the last few months I've been primarily useing it for music and movies and it holds up very well to the task. I have this system set up in a VERY large room and it fills it with some room to spare. The only negative I have come across is that if you have a device that has a wireless connection to your internet it might interfere and slow down the connection if it is close to the receiver. I had a gaming system that wasn't affected and another device that was. I just did a little rearranging of components to separate the two and it worked fine then.
It is a great little system.
