Whether you have weak wrists or are just plagued with demonic jars which refuse to yield, once in a while everybody has trouble opening a bottle or jar.

I have tried a number of types of jar openers and all the others have been disappointing. This handy tool works when others have failed. The design of this tool makes it much faster and easier to use than screw based lid grippers.

The No-Strain Bottle and Jar Opener has four separate sets of grips which accommodate the vast majority of twist off lids or caps. You simply place the opener on the lid, grasp it lightly, and turn the bottle. The leverage and firm grip virtually ensure success.

The opener is sturdily constructed. The metal is chromed, and the handles are made of hard plastic. I am not sure if it is dishwasher safe, but a jar opener does not tend to get as messy as can openers do. The opener is 9 inches long and stores easily with your kitchen tools.

If you want a more attractive opener and are not concerned about price, I have seen a similar opener at Sur La Table with stainless steel rather than plastic handles.

I am very happy with my No-Strain Bottle and Jar Opener.
