I've always love books by Darren Shan. His vampire trilogy is a whole awesome series, and it doesn't seem to be any different when he switched the genre to werewolf instead. Lord Loss is a thrilling book with some vivid gory scenes and details. At the back cover of the book is a warning which dictates that the story is seriously scary. I did not take the warning seriously, but i guess this book probably isn't suitable for the faint-hearted.
The story revolves around Grubbs Grady, whose world was thrown into complete chaos when one day, he stumbled back to his home only to see his family being ripped apart by demonic creatures. After being taken in by his uncle, Dervish, he begins to discover more about his horrifying family history.
There's no doubt that Darren is a remarkable author. Lord Loss is brilliantly written, full of unexpected plot twists here and there, and at the end of the book, it leaves me waiting impatiently to get my hands on the next book of the trilogy. It is highly imaginative, and easy to read. All in all, it is an amazing book!
