It's really hard to come up with a gift for my husband other than clothing or some sort of "man" tool. He loves doing crossword puzzles so for Christmas I got him the Los Angeles Times 2010 Year-In-A-Box Puzzles Calendar for his desk at his part time job.
My husband doesn't have a lot of room on his desk because it's always covered with stacks of papers and his wall is usually covered with more paperwork so this calendar was perfect as it only measures 6" wide by 5-1/2" tall. The calendar consists of daily puzzles alternating between Crossword, Sudoku and Jumble. The calendar comes with an easel stand which makes it easy to look up at a glance and see the month, day, and date of the year.
There is room on each daily page to jot down upcoming appointments or important meetings with clients. Calendars are an essential part of an office so I was glad I could combine that with a little entertainment solving the puzzles during his breaks. When he is done for the day he simply tears off the daily page and is all set for the next day. If he hasn't finished a puzzle yet he always brings them home to work on after dinner.
If you are a puzzle fanatic and need a small desk calendar to keep you organized then this is the perfect one, whether you have it on your desk at work or at home.
