This cookbook is for "phase 2" of a low carb diet. All of the recipes in the book are 8 grams of net carbs or less. This is the phase of the low carb diet where you are able to up your carbs a little, generally 5 grams a week until you stop losing weight. Even though the recipes are meant for Phase 2 you could definitely use them on any phase of the diet because even with the higher ones being 8 grams that isn't a lot in my opinion. The recipes in this book are really good and there is a large variety. There are a lot of side dish recipes and I don't know about anyone else but that is a place where I have a lot of trouble on the low carb diet. It seems pretty easy to find a main dish but the same old salads and vegetables get really tiring after awhile so it's nice to have a source to go to for new ideas. The recipes are even great starting points for your own creativity. I've taken several of their ideas and made it my own substituting different ingredients, just make sure you adjust the carb count accordingly. I was really happy to have found this cookbook and I think anyone on a low carb diet, or anyone who likes healthy, delicious recipes in general will enjoy this cookbook.
