Ahh, imagine yourself floating out in the warm waters off the shore of a tropical beach. You are surrounded by the calming sound of gentle waves, relaxing in the ocean breeze. It's easy to do just that after dropping Big Blue into your bath water! With it's gorgeous turquoise water, seaweed, Atlantic sea salts to exfoliate, and essential oils to calm, this make for one incredible experience! Big Blue is just another one of Lush's great bath bombs. After tossing one of their bombs into your bath water, they start to fizz, transforming your water into rich beautiful colors. You will often find surprises such as rose petals, glitter and confetti once they dissolve, making for a fun treat.

Big Blue is one of the larger bath bombs, at 3.6 ounces. Because of this, I often times cut it in half so I get two baths out of one bomb. It unleashes a beautiful blue color, and is smells of lavender and lemon. It really is lovely. There is nothing floral or particularly feminine about it, just a nice, clean, refreshing scent that lingers on your skin afterward. Before purchasing, I had read that this contained natural seaweed to help nourish and moisturize your skin. I had envisioned long pieces of seaweed wrapped up within the bomb, but was somewhat surprised when I found many tiny pieces scattered at the bottom of my tub. I can't imagine they have any real benefit, and they almost look like (dare I say...) mouse droppings. Personally, I could have done without them, but they did rinse down the drain easily, so it didn't bother me in the least. If you're the kind of person who doesn't like surprises, you can always place the bombs in a mesh bag or piece of nylon stocking before dropping it in your bath. This way it will filter out any small particles such as seaweed, confetti or rose petals.

While the sea salt did help to exfoliate, I did find that it was a little drying and my skin a little itchy after taking a bath with this bomb. That is the only complaint I have with this one. Even though this isn't my favorite bomb, I have fallen in love with the scent. I will continue to repurchase.
