Madame Alexander dolls have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Every year I would get a new doll. She would either be a part of a collection, like Wizard of Oz, or a stand-alone doll like this Happy Birthday doll.
Madame Alexander dolls have been around for over 80 years. In the beginning Madame Alexander's handcrafted quality set precedence for the industry. Madame Alexander crafted the first baby dolls, the first tribute dolls, and the first full-figured fashion doll.
I know my images are small but try to look and the flower bow details on the Happy Birthday doll's dress. Also note the little birthday present next to her feet. And the shoes, every little detail just makes Madame Alexander dolls perfection.
During my late teens there was a fire at my childhood home. My dolls were not burned but they did suffer major smoke damage. The Madame Alexander Company helped us get my dolls to a "doll hospital" for repair. Each doll came back in almost new condition with new boxes if they needed one. In my book the company is, and always will be, the best.
Collecting dolls is not for everyone. However, everyone should have at least one Madame Alexander doll.
