Exodus is the 22nd Magic the Gathering set and marks the end of the Rath Cycle. The set is marked for ushering the modern day card template. The cards now differentiate rares from uncommons and commons. The cards also have numbers for collector purposes.

Exodus did not inroduce any new mechanics. It however introduced a cycle of oaths and keepers which had effects when you were behind in an aspect of the game like life points or cards in hand. Notable cards in the expansion were City of Traitors, Hatred, Coat of Arms, Survival of the fittest, Ertai Wizard Adept, Forbid, Oath of Druids and Recurring Nightmare.

The set had quite a number of useful cards but had low power levels for commons and uncommons. It was unlike the Tempest set which had a great balance in all three rarities.
