I worked as a nanny for a family who used the Diaper Genie for all of their children. The only thing I liked about it was that it was easy to put the diapers in. Just drop and twist.
The problems, however, were numerous. For one thing, the little sucker is hard to load. You have to use these refill packs, which are expensive. You have to use them. Nothing else will work. It takes some time before you get good at putting them in. You have to kind of twist them into place. Then when the Diaper Genie is full it is a real pain to take the diapers out. You have to take this little sharp ring out of the top and then cut a circle into the bag so that you can tie it us. Then you puill this huge string of diapers out that looks like a twenty foot long snake eating several rodents. It holds a lot of diapers, but it stinks.
When I had my own child, I chose a different product. The new diaper pail also has its stregths and weaknesses, but it's better than this one.
