When I moved to my new house and set up my craft room, one of the first things I purchased for myself was the Making Memories embellishment center which is a wall mounted storage unit.
The unit measures 31.5" X 25.5" X 3.75". It has 2 plain shelves, 2 shelves with divided cubbies, and 2 dowels that can hold up to 64 spools of ribbon. It is made of wood that is painted white, has a bead board back and a decorative modeling trim around the top. There was no assembly required on it except for inserting the dowels into the provided holes and attaching the end caps. It has a keyhole mounting system on the back of the unit but did not come with any hardware. It is prettyheavey even before you start adding items to it so make sure you put it where you have studs or use anchors.
I love this embellishment center because it not only give me plenty of room to store many of my crafting supplies but it also looks great in my room too. I use the shelves to display some of my prettiest craft items like my collection of glitter so it makes a decorative statement as well as being storage item. Having everything right there on hand where I can see it makes it easy to find and using the ribbon is so easy when it is on thedowels because you can unwind as much as you need and then easily roll it back up. Making memories sells jars that fit this unit but I found some I liked better that were also glass instead of plastic and were less expensive. I have also seen in ads that they now even make specially designed drawers to fit the center that can be used to hold craft supplies as well.
The embellishment unit is expensive but Michaels puts it on sale for 40% off regularly and if it's not on sale, you can always use a Michaels coupon on it and save some money that way. If you are a crafter or are just looking for a little extra storage, this embellishment center is wonderful.
