When my husband saw Malt Shop Memories advertised on TV, he knew this was something he would be interested in. TimeLife was offering it for $150.00, and I decided to get it for him as a gift.
The collection is great, containing ten CDs (two are a bonus). The CDs come in a flip-top box that depicts an old-fashioned diner. The bonus CDs are called Street Corner Symphonies, and some of the selections include On Broadway by The Drifters, Blue Moon by The Marcels, Book of Love by The Monotones, and There's a Moon Out Tonight by The Capris. There are thirty songs on a total of two CDs.
Then we have Jukebox Gems (two CDs with a total of 30 songs), Top Down Convertible Sound (two CDs with a total of 30 songs), All I Have to Do Is Dream (two CDs with a total of 30 songs), and Save The Last Dance For Me (two CDs with a total of 30 songs). There is a lot of music on these CDs. Some more selections include All I Have To Do Is Dream by The Everly Brothers, Raindrops by Dee Clark, You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling by The Righteous Brothers, A Teenager in Love by Dion and the Belmonts, Hey Paula by Paul and Paula, You're Sixteen by Johnny Burnette, Don't Be Cruel by Elvis Presley, Bristol Stomp by The Dovells, Big Girls Don't Cry by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, and so many more.
If you check out TimeLife.com, you can see this great collection for yourself. My husband loves it (as do I) and so will anyone who is a fan of this type of music. And one thing that I really liked was the fact that I was able to pay for Malt Shop Memories in installments, which was very helpful.
