I've always wanted to make marble cake, and haven't got the right recipes for it. I have downloaded several marble cake recipes from the net, and so far none of them have satisfied me. Luckily enough, I found this cook book when I was hanging around a book store, and the best thing was that it was on big sale! Though the cover had torn a little (probably it was a secondhand / used book), but when I looked at the inside, it seemed OK so I bought it. This book is called ‘Various Marble Cake' (or ‘Aneka Kue Marmer' in Indonesian) written by Faiza Hermain and published by Gramedia. It contains around 40 pages and the good news is that all of the pages are in color, and comes with pictures of the actual cake. The text is not in English, but in Indonesian, so make sure you know Indonesian (or else, I could translate it for you... lol.. :p). The instruction is simple and understandable; for beginners in marble cakes this is a great book to start with. The ingredients are clearly described (though it doesn't come with tools and basic ingredients explanation). Around 16 recipes are in this book and some of favorite recipes in this book are simple marble cake, mocha sponge cake, orange apple marble cake, chocolate cheese marble cake, fruit marble cake, and jelly marble cake. I have tried all of my favorite recipes and they are all satisfactory. I guess I'm truly blessed because I found this book. Very recommended book!
