If you were to walk in my bathroom, you would think that I own skin care companies because I like to be prepared for anything that happens to my face and have all kinds of products in my arsenal! I have a few acne products that I like to use for emergency or hormonal pimples that decide to pop out at the most "perfect" (she wrote tongue firmly planted in cheek) times and the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion happens to be one of them.
I heard about this drying lotion by chance when I was flipping channels and Martha Stewart (of all people!)sang the praises of it. I ordered it from the Mario Badescu website and I am so glad I did. This is a one ounce bottle that looks strange when you first see it. At the bottom of the bottle is calamine lotion and is pink and the top portion of the bottle has salicylic acid and is clear. You are instructed NOT to shake and mix the two ingredients but simply dip a Q Tip to the bottom of the bottle, pull it out, and dab the solution on your face. Fair warning about this product is to use it when you are NOT expecting company and that is why I use this product before going to bed because you will have pink dots on your face. If you are like me and have hormonal breakouts, I will have pink dots everywhere on my face and my son could play connect the dots on me! I might look like a fright before going to bed but when I wake up, either my breakouts are totally dissolved or they are about 95% gone. This is safe for everyone from teenagers on up to use for spot treatments and is recommended for everyone's beauty arsenal.
