I received Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream along with a bunch of other goodies customized to my skin type after filling out a questionnaire. I wanted to like you, Hyaluronic Eye Cream, I really did! Alas, after trying it for a while now, I have realized that it is not "workin' for me."
The texture of the eye cream is creamy and rich, probably too rich. When I apply it, even if I apply the tiniest bit, the product leaves an annoying sheen which highlights dark circles. It also tends to make my eyelids look oily. Not a good look!
I don't have too many lines around my eyes, but I do have one small line under each eye. I did not see an improvement with that.
I like that the product has Hyaluronic Acid in it. Hyaluronic acid is a good moisturizing agent. It binds water i.e. moisture to the skin. That being said, Hyaluronic Acid is the last ingredient in their ingredient list; meaning this ingredient is in the product in the smallest concentration. Some other notable ingredients are Aloe (I'm a fan of aloe because I find it soothing), Euphrasia Extract (Also, known as Eyebright. Not sure what it does, but it did not brighten my under eye circles) and Carnation Oil (This was the first product I have used with this ingredient in it, and I found it to be exotic). The eye cream also has quite a few standard ingredients like Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Oil.
All-in-all, I think Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream is alright. I liked that it was fragrance-free and soothing. Yet, I don't think it is for "all skin types" like it says on my sample's label. I don't think it is for younger skin. I think it might be perfect for more mature skin. I would not wear this eye cream out due to its shininess. I would only wear this before bed or around the house.
