There is no other way to describe this album: astonishing. Martina McBride has done it again, but this time in her latest album "Timeless", she is taking 18 glorious songs from country's classic history dating back to the 1950's and adding her remarkable voice to them. "Timeless" adds to Martina's collection of powerful songs. Each of the 18 songs aren't damaged by the change of the times as Martina's band performs the oldies but goodies. Martina McBride's voice is extraordinary; she manages to bring out every feeling of every song perfectly and never misses a beat. The flow of the album is gentle, each song fits in the slots flawlessly and there are no long pauses between each song to create a loss of feeling in the album.
The album is straight forward country, there is no hyped up fancy recording tricks that tend to get in the way of the real deal. It's just a band and Martina's fascinating voice. I think one of the main things that make this album so amazing is that she has found a way to put her own mark for each song and making the album honestly "Timeless".
