Being around four brothers, nephews and neighborhood kids, I definitely saw my fair share of Matchbox toys. My brothers loved them, as did most little boys and even some girls I knew.

This set is of 4 metal airplanes, called "Sky Busters". Each plane is different in style and painted or decorated with various colors and logos. One plane is an Amercian Airlines Boeing 737-800. Another is a sea plane named "Pacific Patrol", a rescue plane. The third is called "MBX Dino FLT", a cargo plane and the last is a Boeing 747-400.

The package tells details about each individual plane, such as cruising speed, wing span, how many passengers it will carry, fuel load and other specs that little kids wonder about.

Frankly, I'm amazed to find toys that are made of metal anymore. I hadn't been around Matchbox toys for a few years and assumed they would be made of plastic by now. So much of today's merchandise is junk and kid's toys take a beating, so it's refreshing to see something that has been around so long and is still well made.

Times may have changed, but little boys still love cars, trucks and airplanes. With Matchbox, they can play and maybe even keep those toys for years to come.
