If you want the most maximum OTC pain relieving topical cream than this is the best product i've tried. I do intense weight lifting workouts and this helps me to recover faster as well as not be so sore. My mother works at Kohls and does a lot of walking which causes her hip to bother her and she says this stuff really helps her hip. My Father has Grand Mal Seizures and has falling down so much over the years and he also uses this product for aches and pains. I rub this stuff on my knees or forearms and it and the cooling sensation is such a relief.
Its benefit is also my biggest complaint. The benefit is it uses 10% menthol to relieve pain but it can also really irratate the eyes. I would recommend using this cream in a wide open space without too much things in the the way and definitely not in a room with a door closed because the menthol odor doesn't have as much room to spread which can increase the chance of eye irratation. Using this product outside would really be the best option to get rid of the odor.
You don't need much of this stuff rubbed on for it to work really well. I would say when using this cream less is more as you don't increase the chance of a burning sensation from too much of the menthol in this stuff as well as the potential for eye irratation. When other menthol creams want work this probably will relieve the pain because of its 10% menthol content. Theirs other ingredients in it that can also be good to joints such as glucosamine.
Using this cream with an oral pain reliever such as aleve or cissus would give an additional boost without worrying about side effect interactions. Other than possible eye irration and possible burning sensation(reading burning sensation as a complaint in my review cracks me up) from applying too much of this stuff, I have no other complaints. Oh yeah I have not had to go to the hospital due to the burning sensation, lol. The complaint sounds worse in text. Be sure to carefully read the instructions on the label.
