Believe it or not, I take nine prescription medications. I use to keep all of them in the kitchen cabinet. But many times, I found that I preferred to take my six evening pills in another room (while watching TV or reading), and lugging all those medicine bottles back and forth was quite an impossible chore.
One day I had a neat idea. I had purchased this beautiful little treasure chest at Ross, and was using it as an accent piece in my living room. It was placed near a larger chest, with a similar design, that I had purchased for storing keepsakes. The chest is a pale yellow with one single magnolia on the top, surrounded by leaves and greenery. It appears to be hand painted, and is accented in gold, making it look quite elegant. It is also lined in velvet. So I decide to put all my medicine bottles in the chest, so that I could easily transport them from room to room. It turned out to be a great idea. (Once in awhile I have even been known to grab up the whole thing on my way out the door, if I need to take my medicine on the run.) At least it keeps all the medicines together, it's easily transportable, lightweight, and serves double duty as a lovely piece of home decor.
Now I will always have a treasure chest to put my prescription medicines in. It simply makes life so much easier, and even brings a smile to my face, while I take all my medicine.
There are so many other uses for this delightful little treasure chest. It is very attractive and could be used as a hideaway for many things.
