I purchased these Skechers for my husband last year. Everyone needs black dress shoes and I figured Sketchers would be a good one to have. They offered a skid resistant sole and seemed to have a little bit of cushion inside, plus they were on sale at the Skechers Outlet Store. This style of shoe retailed for around $65.00 at the time. They are made of a black vinyl material and have a rubber sole.
My husband never needed to wear dress shoes in his past job, but this job requires more dress clothes and shoes. He probably wears them once or twice a week and then has others he rotates. I'd say they have been under moderate useage over the past 6 months and once in a while at church.
However, this past week he started complaining that not only were his feet hurting but his legs were too. He could not wait to get out of them. Considering his job requires very little walking, to have a shoe hurt like that isn't good. When I went to take a picture of them, I noticed that they were actually quite heavy. And my husband has a pretty bad varicose vein that appeared after a knee surgery, so it's possible that the weight of these shoes is the problem.
Now, I've had problems with Sketchers fitting my feet and he said these did feel cushy and comfortable at first, but now he really doesn't like them. I know he'll keep them until we get a new pair, but I am just glad I didn't pay full price for them.
