My husband is very hard on shoes and often buys cheap ones which he goes through quickly. I decided for Christmas, I would get him a pair of good quality shoes and see how he liked them and if they would hold up better for him.
He is a big fan of Tommy Bahama clothing and accessories so when I saw this pair of Bordeaux loafers, I knew they would be perfect for him. They are a slip on shoe that has a casual look but is still nice enough for him to wear to work. They are made of a brown leather (the actual color is called papaya) and have white stitching. There is elastic on both sides of the shoe so it fits his foot snugly but flexes and moves when he takes a step. The footbed of the shoe is also leather and nicely padded. It has only about a 1/2" heel and non-marking rubber soles. The Tommy Bahama logo is imprinted in the footbed as well as on the bottom of the sole.
He has only had the shoes for a short time but the have already become his favorite shoe. He says they are extremely comfortable but that they do run narrow. He says it's not a problem for him and they fit just fine but they would never work for someone who has a wide foot. They were a bargain for the price and not much more than the cost of a cheap pair of shoes. I will update this review with how well they hold up over time but as for our opinion on them right now, they were a good buy.
