If for some reason you ever thought that Grand Theft Auto didn’t give you enough of an ability to cause chaos in a free roam world, then Mercenaries will definitely suit you. Set in war torn North Korea, you’ll be able to choose one of three characters and quite literally blow up or steal anything that you see. From buildings to bunkers, helicopters to tanks, everything is at your grasp and the game manages to give you enough mechanics and survivability so that the first platoon you encounter doesn’t blow you to pieces.
The game is downright fun and challenging: encountering special enemies will leave you with the decision to capture them or kill them. Killing them can be as easy as ordering a cluster bomb down on the area or hijacking a helicopter and tossing missiles for them to catch. Capturing on the other hand takes a coordinate attack since you have to eliminate all of the threats around them, then subdue them without killing them and finally put them onto a helicopter.
Mercenaries is an enjoyable experience and will offer tons of value when you’re just messing around in the war town landscape.
