Meridian Tap lights- With spring coming so does the storms and power outages. Tired of looking for candles, trying to remember to blow the candles out when I was finished and finding waxed drippings all over everything I decided to try to find a better alternative to candles. While shopping I found what are called Meridian Tap Lights. These are round dome shaped lights that run on four AA batteries . All you do is push down on the dome portion and the light comes on.
I like the fact that these lights provide light anytime you need it and anywhere you need it. They can be used during a blackout or in closets or cabinets or anywhere you need light. The Meridian Tap Light can either set where you need them or you can hang them. I've put Velcro on the lights and hang them where I need them.
These lights are about 5 inches wide/diameter.
Another thing I like about these lights are that they are relatively cheap. They cost about $3.95 for two of them.
The one thing I would change about these lights is that I would like to see them be made a little more sturdy although I will admit I, accidentally, dropped one about 5 feet and nothing happened but they just seem a little loose especially the battery door. I am not sure yet how long one of these will run on 4 batteries.
