I purchased these tires last August as I knew the tires that were on my Forester might have a tough time over the coming winter months. I had quite honestly had my fill of Town Fair Tire and their slow service so I went to my local BJ'S warehouse and noticed that the Michelin pilots were on sale. I had always known Michelin to be a good brand and after doing some research and looking at various reviews including consumer reports decided to buy the Michelin pilots. I felt the price of 485.00 for four tires was a pretty decent deal and the service of putting them on was very fast and it was done properly as well. I ran these tires through the winter months and it is now spring in Ct. I have to say they did fine in the snow and ice over the crummy winter. I always felt like they had great traction and never felt like I was in any ordeal in any of the snow storms. So far the tread seems to be wearing evenly and all is well. The real test for tread wear will be to see how they are doing a couple of years from now. It is way too early to draw any conclusions all though in the various places that I researched I saw nothing that would make me think that the wear and tear would be an issue. I did have one problem but it was due to corrosion on my wheel rim which BJ'S took care of pretty rapidly for me I must say. They have been very helpful and I am glad because prompt and quality service is a big part of buying tires.
