It gets cold in Michigan, I hate it!! I hate wearing bulky heavy coats to keep warm only to run to the mall or the grocery store. Who needs to sweat or carry around a coat for any length of time, not me!!
I found the solution in this really great Mickey quilted jacket purchased from the Disney Store about 6 years ago. I fell in love with it the minute it came into the store and waited patiently for it to go on sale, everything always does.
This jacket comes to about 5 inches above my knees and is the most comfortable coat I own. Some of the great features are:
**The outside is a hunter green quilted material with a brown corduroy collar and sleeve ends that fold over.
**The inside is the softest flannel lining in a checked design of brown, rust and beige. There is an inside pocket that snaps closed and could hold a checkbook or wallet to eliminate the need for a purse, especially during the busy holdiays.
**The front of the jacket has an appliqued and embroidered Mickey on the left upper side. On the lower bottom right side there is a leather patch that says 1928 The Original Adventure.
**The back of the jacket has a huge appliqued and embroidered scene of Mickey walking Pluto on a very blustery day.
**The front zips closed and also has metal snaps with Disney written on them to hide the zipper.
**My jacket is a size Medium but they were available in Small to Extra Large. The materials used are 100% cotton for the shell and lining, and 100% polyester for the padding.
This coat is stylish, keeps me warm and always gets a compliment or two when I'm out and about. After each winter I machine wash it in warm water as instructed and tumble dry on medium until it's almost dry. It goes back in the closet until winter arrives again, always too soon for me!
