I have always been fascinated with "milk" products for the skin probably because of my knowledge of Cleopatra and her beauty secrets. But I was convinced to try a line of milk products (milk lotion and milk baby bath) by Johnsons for my baby because she has uneven skin. She has so many insect bites that really leave a mark, even though she does not scratch (as she doesn't know how to yet). Her skin looks like that of a Dalmatian already.

A friend of mine recommended milk bath products because she said that they make skin fairer. So in the hopes that the marks of the insect bites on my baby will diminish, I started her on Johnson's milk lotion.

I really like this product. Its lotion is not so thick, so it is perfect for a temperate environment like ours. But it is not so thin as not to be able to moisturize my baby's skin in an air-conditioned room. It is enriched with Vitamins A and E that are supposed to make the skin fairer and smoother. Smoother yes, but I am not sure about the fairer part because we have used it barely a week only. That is why is my overall rating is only 4.3. I also like its scent. It leaves my baby smelling really good, but it is not so strong and cloying.

It is easy to clean because it is not so thick. I don't use a sponge on my baby, just baby bath lathered on my palm and it is easily removed. I am not sure about the safety though because it does not say hypoallergenic on the label. But my baby is not allergic to it, so it is good for her.

It is also affordable because a 200ml bottle is only about $2, so there is no guilt with using a generous amount over my baby's skin. I have yet to see it making my baby's skin fairer or at least the insect bite marks lighter. But for now, we will continue using this product.
