When I originally purchased this television, I did not know that much about big screen high definition televisions, but I wanted to start. This television appealed to me because firstly of the low price it costs as it is an older model. When it got home, the picture and sound everything was great. The high definition channels looked amazing. It was satisfying for about 2 years to 2 and a half years until problems started occuring. Before I continue I just need to explain that this television has some color features that you can change to your liking such as brightness, contrast, and even more complicated you can change the convergence levels for the red blue and green colors on the television. So, the problem with my television, which I now know is a common problem in this television brand, is that the red convergence goes out of wack, and you cannot fix it unless you either A are good with fixing televisions or B want to spend $400 to get it fixed.
So, Bottom Line is that it is a good tv for high def but it had a short life for me. Some owners report longer lives and never experience the problem, so buy at your own risk.
