When my belly first started growing enough that I couldn't wear my regular jeans during my pregnancy, I decided to try this belly band so I could keep wearing them for a little longer. The idea behind the band is that you just leave your pants unbuttoned and zip them as much as possible, then put the band over the unzipped and unbuttoned part and over your belly. The elastic band is supposed to keep your pants up and in place while giving your tummy room to expand.
I first starting using this band when I was about 3 months pregnant. The first time I wore it I thought it was going to work great. It was tight enough to keep my pants in place and was comfortable on my belly. After I washed it for the first time, I noticed it was a little looser. The more I washed it, the looser it got! Even as I got bigger, the band felt looser. It finally got to the point where the band would not stay on my jeans when I sat down. The band was no tight enough to keep my zipper from falling when I walked either.
After using it for about 1 month I gave up and just bought some pregnancy pants. I thought I would give this belly band a try because it was only $12, but that money would have been better spent on a pair of jeans I could have kept wearing.
