We had another, high end coffee maker we had purchased only 3 years before. It gave us coffee in only a couple of minutes, because of it's reserved water tank, that was always hot and ready to go. It had given out on us on a Tuesday.

By Thursday night, I was shopping for a new Coffee maker. My wife and I were ready to kill each other for those two mornings, we didn't have our morning cup of coffee to drink.

There was no way, I was going to shell out another $134.00 for a replacement for the coffee maker that broke.

I asked a salesperson working in the department, what she thought of the coffee makers. She shrugged and said, "Coffee is coffee, to me. Mr. Coffee sounds good, I guess."

Give that woman a gold star. She was right, of course. Coffee is coffee. So we got a Mr. Coffee coffee maker and our lives have been on cloud nine ever since.

So, here is the scoop. Mr. Coffee works. The coffee maker is programmable, but we hardly use that feature. By the time I get the machine filled with water and turn it on, we have a couple of cups of coffee, ready to drink in about five minutes. I like the feature it has, of removing the pot and the coffee stops making, long enough to grab some. Put the coffee pot back in place and it starts filling up again.

Mr. Coffee's programmable coffee maker is not rocket science. It is functional and works. The pot spills as you pour, but I can live with that. The machine gives us good homemade coffee.
