MSI has been around for a long time. They aren't recognized as the performance brand for mainboards, certainly not the enthusiast board, but they usually are considered in the bang for the buck category. This board, offering SLI and the nForce650i chipset, at a lower price than most competitors, would be that bang for the buck option.
Installation was fairly easy, simply entering the bios upon first boot and setting it to optimized defaults will put most people where they need to be, and then you can go on to installing your operating system.
Stability on default optimized settings is just fine. If you want overclockability, this board will offer decent performance. There is a fan that comes with the board that will help you get some higher overclocks, but nothing too stellar. If you really want to overclock to your CPU's full potential, you may want to look at one of the more proven 680-based boards.
