Here is another book by Selma Eichler in the Desiree Shapiro mystery series that I really enjoyed.
Desiree Shapiro is a private investigator, doing business in New York. She is giving a talk at a mystery writers' convention and is really a little scared of the entire idea. But the talk turns out great, to her pleasant surprise. The convention also turns up something really unusual. Desiree is approached by a mystery author, Belle Simone, who has written an unpublished murder mystery and wants Desiree to solve it. She is offering her a nice sum of money if she can do this. Well, here is an opportunity that Desiree cannot pass up, but solving this mystery (with clues given by Belle that are very cryptic) is not an easy task for Desiree. Does she succeed? You will have to read this novel to find out.
I found Murder Can Crash Your Party to be interesting, with a twist near the end of the book. I have really enjoyed all of the Desiree Shapiro mysteries that I have read so far. I am hoping to be able to read every book in this series, as Selma Eichler has written a number of them. This book was definitely an entertaining read for me.
