I have just finished reading another Desiree Shapiro Mystery by Selma Eichler. I am really enjoying these books. The heroine is a very likable private investigator who always seems to find the answer to each mystery she is involved in, even if the going is slow.

In Murder Can Run Your Stockings, PI Desiree Shapiro is hired by Ben Berlin to find out if Ben's deceased Aunt Bessie really did die from an accidental fall, or if she was pushed. Ben has this feeling that his Aunt's demise was not accidental at all, and he wants Desiree to investigate Aunt Bessie's fall to see what she can find out. At first, Desiree herself believes it was accidental, but as she does further investigating, some facts come to light that make it look as though poor Aunt Bessie may have been helped to her death after all.

I found Murder Can Run Your Stockings to be entertaining reading, and author Selma Eichler has a knack for keeping me guessing in her novels. In this story, I found myself not even certain if Aunt Bessie's fall was indeed accidental or deliberate. But everything comes together with continued reading of the novel.

If you are looking for an enjoyable story with a likable, down-to-earth heroine, Murder Can Run Your Stockings will definitely be a novel you might be interested in reading.
