I wanted something with a little sugar for my baby's snacks. Aside from biscuits, I wanted her to snack on cereal because it has milk. And I found the perfect one for her--Nestle Cerelac Wheat Banana & Milk. This is actually a Stage 2 food, so there is not much texture in it. However, it tastes good with the flavors of banana and milk. The flavor of wheat could not really be distinguished (I know because I taste my baby's food).
This food is for babies ages 6-24 months, but I think I will just continue to give this to her until 12 months, or I will stop until she has many teeth already so that she will get used to chewing complex foods. For now, this is the perfect snack for her. To make it more nutritious, I add some of her formula milk.
But as is, the cereal has carbohydrates, protein, DHA, iron, and other vitamins and minerals. It also has oligosaccharides, which I believe is a form of sugar. It also contains Prebio--a fiber blend made by Nestle in order to help reduce constipation, especially that my baby is on formula.
I really like this product. It is also very cheap at $1.08 for a 120-g pack. I just hope that they will have stage 4 foods, one that has more texture. I will soon find out.
