This food is a consistent re-buy for me, or rather, for my cat. My indoor adult cat is very prone to being overweight. In December of 2008, she weighed 16.1 lbs on the scale at the vet's. The last time she got weighed at the vet's, late April of 2009, she was down to 14.7 lbs.
That might not seem like a big weight loss, but on a little being, like a cat, it makes a real difference, especially over time. By now, she has no doubtedly lost even more. She certainly looks smaller. I definitely believe in this product, and also in figuring out the exact amount to feed your cat. I feed her 1/3 cup twice a day.
A pro of this food is my kit-cat loves the taste. Every time I feed her, she races over to her bowl with gusto. While she eats it, you can hear her purring loudly.
A con: Hill's Science Diet claims that the food's high fiber content keeps your cat fuller longer. I don't find this to be the case. Oftentimes, my cat wants more food soon after I feed her.
