I love the Elkind Hex Keys because of its convenient red storage container. I was working as a set-up mechanic at a plastics manufacturing plant when I first saw another set-up mechanic with these Elkind Hex Keys. "Where did you get those and how much did they cost?" I was forever losing my own hex keys in every hidden recess that could possibly exist in my own toolbox. That red plastic storage container was a godsend.
I didn't think I would have much use for hex keys after I stopped working in plastics manufacturing plants, but that hasn't been the case. My daughter's daybed was assembled using my Elkind Hex Keys, and so was my Sycamore double bed, and the faucet handles in my shower are held in place by hex nuts. I have the 13 key set, which gives me a range of .050 to 3/8", but the 5/32" hex key is the one I use most often around the house while the 1/4" and 3/8" keys were used most often in the shops. The overall length of the hex keys offers very good leverage and torque, and I've never bent or lost an Elkind Hex Key yet, nor have they ever rusted on me in all of the years I've owned them. Elkind Hex Keys are available at your local Ace Hardware store or at Ace Hardware online.
