My family has used the same kind of medicine for stomach problems for five generations, maybe more.
It is called Percy Medicine, but my family calls it Baby Percy. The package that it comes in, is orange with a little baby on the front.
It was made by Merrick Medicine Company out of Waco Texas.
This medicine is for diarrhea, heartburn, and overindulgence in food and drink.
It taste like chalky chocolate, that I think, doesn't taste half bad.
Refrigerate after opening.
The information on the back says, for children under 12, ask a doctor. It does have 5 percent alcohol.
Most people after hearing that would say oh, my gosh, ALCOHOL, but it is such a small amount, its not going to hurt.
My great grandmother gave it to my grandmother. My grandmother gave it to my mother. She has given it to me, ever since I was 6 months old. My kids have taken it ever since they were six months old.
The dosage for an average person is 2 teaspoons every hour as needed. So, I cut the dose to 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon when my kids were babies and it totally helped them.
Note one caution:
If your having other symptoms like fever along with your stomach problems, don't use over the counter drugs.
GO TO A DOCTOR!!!
