I highly recommend this book if you're a fan of reading. My sister's keeper is another wonderful work by Jodi Picoult. Although I have not read any of her book, and being someone who don't really read, I picked up this book after much persuasion, and fell in love with it!
It's not too long, and it has such a twisted ending, I believe it will leave a deep indent in you. I cried at the end of the book.
It is about Anna who is 'genetically' chosen to be implanted into the mum, so that when she is born, she can give her umbilical cord cells to save her sister who has leukemia. However, the umbilical cord cells did not work, thus they took blood from her and she has gone through a total of 13 surgeries by 13 years old.
One day, her sister's kidney failed and she is her sister's only hope, but things took a huge turn when she hired a lawyer so she doesn't have to donate her kidney. And the story took another huge turn when during the court case, she revealed that it was her sister who made her start the case. So what happened at the end? You have to find it out yourself - trust me, you'll be very impressed!
